Richard R. Vouga grew up in Frontenac, Missouri, was educated in the Ladue School District, and obtained his Bachelor's Degree in History from Washington University in 1972, obtained his Juris Doctor Degree, also from Washington University, in 1975.  He has been in private practice and has resided in Saint Louis County for 33 years, with a current practice of Asset Preservation, Veterans Benefits, Health Care Planning, Special Needs Trusts, Medicare/Medicaid Planning, Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Administration, Conservatorship, and Supplemental Social Security Income. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Missouri Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, American Bar Association, and The Bar Association of Metropolitan Saint Louis.  He is a member of the United Methodist Church and has held various positions over 12 years as Chair of the Finance Committee, as an East Missouri Conference Trustee, Administrative Council Chair, Visionary Planning Chair, Chair and Co-Chair of two different fundraising campaigns, and a Member of Finance and the Administrative Council when not serving as Chair.  He is admitted to practice before the Federal District Court of the Eastern District of Missouri, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He has appeared in both state and federal court in the counties adjoining Saint Louis County, and in many other counties in the Eastern half of Missouri .  He is a 23 year resident of Ellisville, Missouri , with his wife of 28 years, where they have raised four daughters.
